AHA that's quite a picking. because the way he treats/reacts to battles in mirkwood is rather different from how he reacts to and sees the losses and battles in helm's deep and pelennor fields-- even though the last two do involve friends and are technically for the greater good, he has stronger emotions attached to mirkwood's battles. the difference between fighting on your own soil to defend your home vs. on foreign soil, even if it'll.. save the world..

Grenade blast scene - Important details to know - though York's two teammates, both in white armor, are using live ammunition, York and their opponent Texas only have armor-hardening paint rounds in their weapons. This is the pink foamy type stuff you can see Texas shooting at them. (You get even more context if you watch the whole episode, but it's not really necessary.)
